I have two epsiodes of the same mini-series that I would like to join in VirtualDub. However, one is 23.976 fps and the other is 25.000 fps. What do I have to do to synchronize them without any data loss?
Ah, so you say one video is 23.976fps and the other is 25.00fps. That would mean that the 23.976 one is NTSC and other PAL. You can't sychronize two different video formats together, because they are differnet in composition (both have different numbers of bars, interlacing methods, etc.) and also because such a video wouldn't play on anything I think. The only way to get them both the same is to rencode one of them. This should be pretty easy, but depending on what format your videos are, it might not work. You live in America, right? (Most likely anyway :)), so I'd just convert the PAL to NTSC, or vice versa if don't live in America. TMPGEnc is good, high-quality Video encoder, with all sorts of options and features, it can encode to VCD/SVCD/DVD/AVI. You should probably try that one first, since it can encode to all sorts of FPS and Formats.
