if you get a low score using nero, does that mean your going to have coasters and skipping on the dvd

usually, your analogy/comparison will hold true...while not ALWAYS the case, a low Nero quality test score gives a GOOD indication of what will become of you backup in the near future, if you choose to keep it that long... hehe
