PVR files to DVD

I have a PVR that creates files in the format *.pvr.
I can transfer the pvr files to my PC but I cant play them on the PC. Is there a way to convert the *.pvr files to a useable format? I would really like to be able to burn them to a dvd and play them in my dvd player.
