can anyone tell me which editing software i should buy and also which video card and sound card i should buy buying a new computer soon

here are something the editing program should do
add menu
add tittle
highlight at the start of movie
change colours black and white example leave bride and groom in colour
add slide show in movie
add songs on movie

I always suggest Pinnacle Studio, because of it's ease of use.

Hauppague WinTV PVR 250 card
VideoRedo editing software

Used these two for quite some time. Perfect results. No audio Sync issues.

Hauppauge comes with Ulead MovieFactory authoring program. It also has some very interesting utilities -- conversion from PAL to NTSC, SVCD to DVD, and so forth.

Well how would I be able to covert a widescreen backup DVD to fullscreen? Like when I'm doing a backup of a DVD, taking the black off the top and the bottom. Please help thanks

OK I downloaded IFOEdit, but what apporpriate boxes do I need to check? And how do I use IFOEdit? It doesn't hardly let me do anything.

I can't remember exactly. But, start IFOEdit and open NOT the VIDEO_TS but the other file.

Then double click on VTSI MAST or something close to that at the top of the top half of the screen.

Then come to the bottom half, scroll down and click on 2000 or something close to it. Editable features are here.

It'll open a new page and you can pick it up from there.

Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 video card. This will come with MovieFactory authoring tool. Buy VideoRedo for editing the MPEG files captured by the PVR 250 card.
