Playstion 2 no disk spin problem

My playstation nolonger spins the disk, the browser comes up and it powers on an all that i even took it apart to look at the laser to se it that operates, it does! Any ideas as to why the motor is not spinnin the disc?

It's your laser. Your laser is either dirty or worn out. Try cleaning it, adjusting it, or replacing it.

i have a couple different ps2 layin around that dont work does it matter what laser i use or are they all the same

Check the versions on the back of the ps2 to see if they both match.

Ok. My slimline is now spinning the disc. Your lens is OK! The diagram below shows some fuse(PS1-17). Use a multimeter and test all of them! My problem is the PS13, that one was blown - that one controls the signal for the lens to spin the motor. Seek PROFESSIONAL help before attemping to fix it, ok. Good luck!!!

i also got the disc read problem can u show me what to do. and what can u do is the ps13 is the problem. my diusc wont spin eithe rthn that eveyrthgin seems ok. if i can get the disk to spin it ight fix it to playign back games. i actually bought a new disc motor and that dint fix the problem the motor was fine now i realize...
