I want to edit out a section of a VOB that contains adverts for Alex Jones 911 road to tyranny. I have burned copys of the DVD but want to avoid projecting the idea of selling them, by removing the commercial
section at the end of the last VOB. What can I use for editing Thanks

A good method not mentioned about is using vitualmod and vobedit together .
I use VirtualDub to create a script that load's the required vob's in the correct order .
Open this with vitualdub , then simply scan forward to the first frame before the (non wanted item) .
Open notepad , add this frame number .
Now locate the last frame of this (non wanted item) , and add this to note pad .
Save this as "CellTimes" .
Use vobedit to Demux the complete title set , 1 video stream , and one audio stream .
This will depend also on what IFOEdit will accept as in audio format ... I have alway's converted audio to AC3 using besweet , as this work's fine in IFOEdit .
Now open IFOEdit , go to "author dvd" , load your m2v , load the audio , and now load that CellTimes.txt file .
Choose a location for it to be writen too , and go .
-----------------------------------------------------------
Using vobedit again , Demux this new title via "cell id" , to a new folder .
Delete the origianl title that IFOEdit created after this is done .
Locate the (non wanted item) , and delete it now .
Create a new folder .
Place first VOB here , name it vts_01_001
Place second VOB here , name it vts_01_002
So on ..
Vob files after 009 name's become 010 , 011 , 012 , ect ...
Open the vts_01_001 in vobedit
Choose "edit" , then join VOB cell's .
Choose a new folder for it to be written too , and go .
----------------------------------------------------------
Close vobedit , open IFOEdit .
Go to folder where this new title was created , dont delete the vob's , but everything can go .
In IFOEdit , choose "create ifo's" .
Load you first VOB file , leave the setting's alone , and go .
When completed , hit "get vts sectors" .
You now have 4 item's in the above box , you will be checking the last 2 only .
Check video info and audio info to see if they are correct .
This gose for both video_ts , and vts_01_1.ifo .
Those that need editing , just double click on them , make modification's .
If this was video_ts , hit "save" now .
You now need to repeat those same edit's in that last ifo , and again , when done , use "save" .
-------------------------------------------------------------
This will now play in Nero showtime .
------------------------------------------------------------
You can now burn this as is or reuse vobedit to Demux into stream's , and import these into your favourite dvd editing suite .
Enjoy .
-----------------------------------------------------------
As for chopper xp , it is choppy .
Sometime's it work's , and other time's it's like flogging a dead horse and wont do anything .

Yes. I didn´t mean it was the best software.
If you have a better choice, go for it.
