Ok, i'm seriously worried here. I was playing a game when it got an error, dunno what the error was since it kicked me out of the game. Then when the desktop loaded it was in 800X600 resolution and the colors were screwed up, like 16 bit colors or something. I figiured, "oh crap, gotta restart"....well that was a bad idea because i just hit the "reset" button on my PC to restart it. I stopped any programs from running in the background btw.

When the system was done reloading, the same resolution and colors were present, but my password wouldn't work, i just changed it to 123456, but i'm assuming it didn't save since i didn't officially log off the PC. So i used the previous password of 10. Neither of them worked, so this is where i was really starting to shit myself. I went into the set up and changed both the Admin password and the User password to 10, saved and exited. When i tried entereing the passwords, neither of them worked still...and the color and resolution are still farked up.

I disconnected the power, switched the button to off and removed the battery from the mobo, but NOTHING is working....did i just totally fark my computer up or is there ANY way to get this resolved....i don't have the money to fix something like this right now. So if anyone could PLEASE give me some assistance i would be eternally grateful.

Also, i searched but couldn't find anything related to my issue. And I also posted this in another topic, but i figured it would be more efficient to post it in the topics that it would fall under, even if it's more than one.

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz HT Processor, PQI Power 1GB PC3200 DDR RAM, 2 Western Digital 7200RPM 200GB HD, Nvidia GeForce 6800GT Graphics Card, Thermaltake Xaser III LanFire Case, Rosewill 19" LCD Monitor.

you should know better than to double post. the problem is software for windows & possibly videocard. removing the battery only changes the cmos settings back to default not windows. this thread is closed as you have this other thread still open.
