i heard you can take a mpeg 2 vid and make the quality a bit better by delacing it how do you do that i knwo in photoshop i can adjust that but how do you do it with video?(mpeg video specifically)

You must mean "De-Interlaceing" and No Deinterlaceing doesn"t actually Improove the Quality is Actually makes the Image Look More Smooth and less Sharp...De-Interlaceing is Just for getting Rid of Interlaceing artifacts by either Removeing one Field of the Image or Blending both Fields Together....

If the Video is going to be Watched on a TV set then you should NOT De-interlace but if the Video is Only going to be watched on your Monitor then De-Interlaceing "Might" be a Good Idea but only if you are Haveing Interlaceing Artifacts...If you watch interlaced Video on a Good Software DVD Player you should not see any Interlaceing because they automaticly deinterlace on Playback....

Also deinterlaceing will require you to re-encode the Video file wich Might Lower the Quality More than it Improves it.....

Most any Mpeg encoder will have a De-interlaceing Feature....
