PSP Downgraded ITSELF!!!

i have a white psp which came as v.2 0
it would only work when i inserted a memcard which had a version 1.5 update file on it....
the other night i was on the home screen selected photo,
then the screen went black apart from some small white letters and numbers to the left
i couldnt press anything an had to take the battery out, unplug the DC to turn it off
when i turned it back on whith a umd inserted it said i had to upgrade to play i looked at the system and its now at v 1.0
WHAT HAPPEND?
should i now use the upgrade off my memstick to 1.5?
or upgrade straight off a umd game?

farma.
when u play ur umd games u update. wen u go to the game icon then see the updater umd image. click upgrade. then play the umd.
u have confused the psp. upgrade to 1.5 and u will be able to play. and update the game icon thingo. if u dont get me. just write bak to this forum. peace out.

o.k i kinda get you, so i upload from my mem-card the version1.5 first then just upload the update off a umd.....
i also want to show the layout i got on the psp when i pluged up the usb.....
(i was going to copy my saved game files, b4 updating)

o.k i just tried the update from the mem card to 1.5 and it says
the update failed....
WHAT NOW? ?

well obviously if u have the downgrade files on your psp then it will downgrade becauuse in order 2 downgrade , when the downgrading stuff are on ya mem stick u go 2 photo and it runs the overflow. so u downgraded it ya self , the psp didnt!!! obviously if u have the files on ya psp , u must surely know how to use them or have read the read me that came with the downgrader jeeeeeeez!!!!!!!!!!! o and yes the update fails at 99% , u just reset ya psp(holding the power button up for 10 seconds)

o.k i didnt want to downgrade in the first place
but the psp would only turn on if i had that mem stick inserted with those files onit
its just how it came when i got it.....
thats why i look at this place as my read me with all the help you guys can giv me without being too hatefull towards newbieees..!
and when i turned it on after the upgrade it says setting info is corrupt press O to restore default settings.....!!!?????

okay so now it is at Version 1.50
is it now i should upgrade further using any region umd disk,
and selecting the update from there...?

dont delete the common file. or root file. the root file is for your videos. if u want videos get a psp video converter. it will convert it to mpeg 4.
so is everything alright now..

Well I dont know if you did not know what you were doing really. Because those things do not just get on your MS Duo without directly downloading and then uploading. So I think that your story of downgrading is believable but your innocence may be questionable... Because it is not like those files are common to download for people. So inturn it seems like some one may just be looking for attention.

-my innocence can be explaned by more innocence-
i got the psp in another country of where i cannot speak the language (yet!)
so trying to converse with the shop keeper was hard enough!!
when he was trying to tell me i couldnt play gta unless i had the mem card inn..!
so how my psp drive looks (discribe page1) is just how it came...
no tampering of mine whatso ever...
untill i deleted the overflow pic i had, just like i was instructed.
but now my psp is up and running v2.0...... thanks for helping me do that
