try using avi2dvd, i have not tried this program yet but a friend of mine has just told me that he does all his movies with it. or if that fails to work there is a guide on afterdawn that may help http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm
i am assuming that it is an AVI file you are trying to burn if it is an mpeg then there are programs that will also convert this for you if it is an iso file then use DVD Decrypter. hope this helps

find the file you have downloaded & right click on it. then select properites. at the top of the properties it will tell you - file type. let me know what file type it is (MPEG,AVI,etc)& i can go from there.
