I am trying to back-up my Lord of the Rings DVDs and I am encounting some difficulties. I can rip the movie onto my computer with no problems using DVD Fab or Shrink. Then I am using Shrink to reauthor so I can copy just the many movie. Then I encode the movie, still no problems. But once encoding is finished and I try to burn, using Nero, I keep getting one of two messages:

1. There is no enough space on the disc
2. This disc is not empty.

The discs I have tried are empty and the disc do have enough space to burn onto. Why would I be getting these messages?

if u have DVD Shrink go to preferences and put it at 4300 instead of 4464 which is default then burn with Nero u should have no problems. whats happening is the movie is to big for the disc so it wont burn try what i just said and u should be ok

My perference is already set at 4300 MB. And when I use Shrink, I have no compression.

I finally got Lord of the Rings to burn. The movie would not burn to a Memorex DVD (I know they suck, but I had 10 I got for free and I am trying to use them if possible, 2 of the 10 are coasters.) But I got it to burn without any issues once I inserted a Sony DVD.
