Tried it and poor output at higher compression. Quick and fast on Movie Only. The decryption software was lacking as well. If having problems with CloneDVD 2 which is relatively simple, why think 1 Click will work any better? Are you using the AnyDVD with the CloneDVD2?
I don't know what lessons to give you. First I'd disregard the DVD Decoder. It is a codec pack. It doesn't decrypt factory DVD movies for recording. If you have to have free, go with DVD43 or DVDFab Decrypter. Solving your decryption problems will get CloneDVD2 going.
You indicate you have AnyDVD. With it on the red fox icon is on the toolbar. Just having the last update and having it on is all that is required. You don't find files with AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2. The app works directly from the DVD in the drive. Select the drive and you have it. If you're reading and writing from the same drive, you have to change out and put in a recordable disc. Many read from a ROM and write to a burner. If you want to use HD files, you need an app like DVDFabDecrypter to copy the decrypted source to the HD. Then you could find a file on the HD. Sounds like you just don't understand the process and the software.

Not all drives booktype, so that shouldn't be an issue. Besides, drives that booktype usually have support software that allow the booktype option to be set. If not, there is the free app DVDInfoPro. 1Click isn't an app I like at all, but I didn't see speed as a problem. I ran it on a P4 system, with 1GB RAM, and a 2.8GHz processor. Good suggestion on encoding software. I like a real slow one that takes about 2.5 to 3 hrs per encode, RB/CCE. Few apps can match the quality.
