Using Maincocept to Encode AVi to Dvd But No Sound

Hey

Ive been using mainconcept encoder to encode a avi to dvd (mpeg) but when finished encodeing there is no sound!

The sound only works through vlc media player

anyone know the problem?

any help apprecaited

It might be that AVI has AC3 sound, which Mainconcept cannot encode. It's not surprising your PC is able ho hear AC3, if you have a DVD unit on your PC.
Try do open that AVI with VuirtualDubMod and do stream___Stream List. What does it say?
If it's AC3 you can demux it and add it in the DVD authoring (DVD .ISO = .MPV mpeg video + .AC3 audio)...
