When I bought my dvd burner it came with Nero 6.
If I goto the Nero Website came I get Nero Recode 2 through an update? Or is Nero Recode 2 only offered through buying a new copy?
Because you got nero with the purchase of a burner, what you got is an OEM version of nero6, which I believe doesn't come with the nero recode function enabled. Which of nero's functions are enabled is dependent on the serial number you have, you can get all the updates, but this will not enable the recode 2 function. In order to do this in the cheapest way possible, purchace the nero digital addon, you'll be given a serial # this will enable the recode 2 function.

u can download and install Nero vision express, Nero mix, Nero digital, etc.. but won't be able to use them unless you have an enterprise edition key or the appropriate key for the softwares, you can add them to your product centre, to do that, open Nero startsmart, on the bottom right u'll see a flame icon, click on that, its the Nero product centre icon, once uve clicked on it, u can see the programs installed and the serials entered, and if u know wat do u "ehm ehm" u can activate everything
im not exactly sure, but check nero's website, might be that Nero 7 comes with recode only

No, the ultra edition contains all of nero's applications (they are all available for use). When you choose nero recode, you are using recode 2 (I believe it's displayed when started).
I recommend you make sure you are using the latest version 7.0.1.4b
oh and to check Nero recodes version
start Nero recode, on the bottom left will be a questionmark, click on it and click on about Nero recode, check the version number, and see if its the latest one and if it says Nero recode 2
Yep ... it is Nero Recode 2. By clicking on the "?" it does say Nero Recode 2. But it appears they are just keeping the name "Nero Recode" with version 7.
