What is a "You got served" movie?

There are some possibilities, some less likely than others. Did you check the color adjustment of your system? Then it's possible that it was just coincidence and you're suffering a system failure of some sort. To get wild, you may have gotten malicious script in the movie that messed up the firmware for your player. Anybody else have any ideas. ;)

it's a movie done by Sony. I've tried two 'original' DVDs and they are also green...

It's a possibility that it's either the media you're using (have you swithced brands lately or is it old) or it could be the burner itself. I wouldn't rule out the firmware as borbear mentioned.

Try another brand of media first (my favorites are sony and verbatim), then try to reflash the burner, maybe even go back to an earlier version. If still no luck then I would suspect the burner.

One final note/question, have you played the DVD on your PC, if it plays back correctly then that stand alone player is the culpret.

mart96,
If the originals are Green then it is a bad process developing error by the distributor of the movie or the setup you have at home the Player or the TV has gone bad

Sony does some tricky things, but I don't think they're into sabotage yet. I lean more to Car.Mike's analysis of the situation. It actually sounds as though you're having a system failure. Are the people green when watching network or cable tv or just while the standalone player is on? Try playing the originals on another system, try your backup to. If they're green on your friend's system, then you got bad discs. If they're okay, the problem is in your system.

I will try the DVD in another stand alone player. For the record, I use Maxell DVDs and they always worked good. I may have to change my DVD player if so...

People are normal when I watch Cable TV, it's just my DVD player.

Then hopefully all that is going on is the DVD Player is not processing the image correctly and just needs to be cleaned or replaced

I'm scared of trying the movie in another DVD player and it does the same thing.

The problem is that my JVC player is almost 4 years old now.

You can buy a cheap DVD Player that will play (+) and (-) DVD's for about $40.00 us. Look at Wal-Mart or Target, BestBuy or Circuit City.

I picked up a Philips at Wal Mart Last year for about $60. It supports multiple formats including those on CD. DVD +/- R/RW, VCD, SVCD, CD Audio, DivX, MP3, and more. If it small and round, it'll probably play it. Well, maybe not pepperoni. ;)
