I have a slim ps2 that i recently modded. The system works fine except for the fact that it does not play any backups, dvd movies or games. I know its not the backup games because they work on my buddies system.
Is that chip not installed properly?
Any suggestions?

just a wild ass guess here but did you flash the chip with a toxic bios??? without a 3rd party flash the chip will do nothing but boot homebrew applications, the Toxic flash is REQUIRED to play any other media.
