What's the problem? You may be looking for even another solution as ISO is only a file holder of sorts.

I'm familiar with the app. Which version do you have, the 4.0.3.8 Platinum or one of the others? I've never heard of ISO helping it before. Upgraded versions that could browse used files as a source and otherwise the source was a DVD from a drive. The app transcoded in file mode and burned the same. How were you going to use the ISO? XCopy had a lot of problems. Many people moved on to other apps. Even the free DVDShrink has been less trouble, though maybe not as easily used sometimes.

Just curious, but how were you going to use an ISO file in that circumstance? This is off topic, but you started the thread. XCopy suffers bad from software interference. So adware and the like need to be kept cleaned off the system. Periodic cleaning helps with something like Spybot and Adaware (both free) and always use a good anti virus program. Another problem was batch software, InCD from the Nero suite, and Drag to Disc from Roxio and similar apps messed with the recording aspect of the program. Things similar to your problem. On occasion the Patin Couffin driver had to be updated. On occasion the program even needed to be deleted and reinstalled due to file corruption. It was definitely enough to drive some people away. If you keep having problems, I'd suggest going with some of the free offerings around here like Rebuilder or Shrink. The only thing you really need to purchase is a good decryption utility like AnyDVD. It helps with programs like XCopy as well, any of the apps with obsolete decryption software need it.

XCopy can be the same app, but it can react differently on different PCs is the big problem. Little things mess with it too much. Well good luck. Let us know if the ISO works. I'm always interested in a new fix or workaround.

If you have time to spare, go step by step and give a description of how you do it from the start to the end. I'm still curious how you work in Decrypter and the ISO file.

I was wondering about the XCopy aspect of it. I'm aware of how to use Decrypter to read and write ISO files. Are you stopping before the burn sequence, creating an ISO with Decrypter from the XCopy temp file and then burning? Since the problem is with the burn, why not just take the VIDEO_TS folder created by XCopy and burn it as is in Nero. Same difference, you won't have to do the ISO with Decrypter. It's the same files in that ISO and contrary to what some believe, I've never seen ISO make anything more compatible.
