Help?? Convert Only Segments of DVDs to AVI file??

I am stuck.. I have tried a wide variety of ripping, burning, and decrypting softwares. However, I have not found a program where I can RIP only certain clips of DVDs and convert that one segment into an AVI file. PLEASE HELP... I am trying to post a small clip on my website from a movie I have, but only want to use a small 1:00 commercial.

Rip your DVD to your Harddrive with whatever rip tool you use, then use a video converter to take the chunk out you want. Super Video Converter is great. I just stop the movie where the chunk I want is, then cut to where I'm happy with the clip.

I use 'Shrink' to first rip the clip I want. Then I use 'avi.NET' to convert that clip to an AVI file which can now be opened in any video editing program.
