I was able to burn all files using FabDVD but it would not let me burn just the movie files...isn't that strage?...and then i used superdvd and it copied the movie files but gave me some error at the end, although the VOB files converted and burned just fine...

I'm just wondering if any particular drives work better than others. From everything I've tried it seems it's not a software issue, since I've tried many different ones. But I've also tried various drives as well and none of those are successful either.

Captin6 & Arekisu,

I see that you had an error at the end of using SUPER DVD COPY. The error comes from having to many ripping and decoding softwares on your desktop. Also try disabling your Antivirus software before installing. Other than that, when you have a problem with DVD's that will not code, use Super DVD COPY. So easy isn't it?! I hope you both are able to clear up those erros because this is a valuable software and will save you lots of time and money! I'll be sending you to some private e-mails soon!!!!!!!!!!!

I use a liteon and pioneer usually. Both are pretty good rippers even with the more scratched up discs. But yes some are better at ripping then others. I don't think this is your problem as holleyron eluded too - too many progs can cause a problem or conflict with each other.
AnyDVD and DVD43 are 2 that do not play well. Also DVD43 can cause decrypter problems. Turn off DVD43 better yet uninstall it since you already have AnyDVD which is much better. Now try AnyDVD and clone again.

I'm using DVD Author (or Nero for burning), DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Super Copy DVD, Avi2DVD (for converting), and DVD Fab Decrypter.

I use DVD Shrink most of the time. Only just recently tried Super Copy DVD and DVD Fab Decrypter.

Just tried to watch stealth, i now know the reason for the small file size.

I have all the extras but the film starts at chapter 26. I think i'll have to rent it again and try again.

Hi captin6, Is the DVD of Stealth a red disk? I ask this as i have trouble ripping only red ones, all other DVD's i have no problem with. The Stealth i had was red. I was wondering whether there is a copy protection thingy in the first VOB file because i can rip all the other files.

binkie7, I don't have AnyDVD and DVD43 on the same computer. I'm using 3 diferent computers, with different software and hardware in each computer to rip these discs. That's what's so confusing to me, different everything in different computers and the same results.

One computer with AnyDVD and dvddecrypter, liteon drive. Nothing.

One computer with AnyDVD and CloneDVD, nec drive. Nothing.

One computer with DVD43 and dvdfab, pioneer and optorite drives. Nothing.

I've shuffled drives around in the computers as well so different software are differnt drive mixes are uses as well. Nothing.

Don't see what the issue could be at this point other than bad discs.

Yeah it's sounding like a bad disc - you've tried everything. Exchange for a new one if you haven't already. Let's us know how the new ones turns out.
Oh and DVD43 and dvfab don't play well together also. Even if it's turned off it can still conflict. It's best to uninstall it completely. It can also conflict w/ decrypter also.

hi Easytiger...the stealth disk was not red (the bottom side was not red) It just looked like a regular DVD with a cover/label on the top. I've been having good luck with other movies using FAbDVD and clone, but I still wonder why that first VOB File for Stealth is so reluctant to RIP...but Super DVD Copy was able to successfully RIP all of Stealth...

what really makes me wonder is how others were able to RIP Stealth with Clond DVD2, but not me...i have a good burner and a good computer system...(I ran AnyDVD in the backround but clone dvd2 failed just after about 1 minute into the disk)
