I want to mod my slim ps2, but don't want to solder anything. Does anyone know a good site to get swap magic and all the stuff I need? And does anyone know if it actually works? I don't know my version # but if someone replies with how to check i'll let you know.

ok so i got swapmagic...put in all the pieces...and it doesn't work. It just loads to the swap magic screen, i switch the disc out and it says not a valid ps2 disc. Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is you're not putting the backup in correctly or you put your magic keys in wrong, other than that I dont know. I dont thing the SM discs are defective because you're getting to the right screen, I wish I was more of an expert, but I have a chubby PS2, so I dont know a lot about the flip top.
