All of a sudden whenever I try to use Shrink to burn a DVD it reboots my PC. I unistalled Clone DVD2 which fixed it temporarily. Now all DVD's I run Shrink on reboot my PC. I've set all Power Management Settings to "NEVER" shut of my monitor or PC but it keeps rebooting on it's own. I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

Using shrink is very CPU intensive, which means your processor is working very hard. If the PC is shutting down and rebooting (or locking up) while using shrink, this could be as sign that the processor is getting too hot. Open your case and make sure all of the fans are working properly especially the cpu fan, reomve any dust you see on the components, fans, etc.. Just make sure the inside of the case is properly ventilated, you might also want to leave the case open then try using shrink and see what happens.

Worst case, your power supply is failing and should be replaced.

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I opened the case and all fans were running. After rechecking at a later date , I happened to notice the processor fan slowing and speeding up for no reason. No programs were running, but computer would restart itself. Changing the processor fan and heat sink solved problem totally. Computer is still working fine.

I remember seeing an option to have Shrink running in low prioity mode which would make it easier for someone to multitaks while burning/ripping, but in your case it might solve the reboot/freeze problem, hope that helps m8
