I've looked through the search engine on the site and I see no information on what the subpicture does in shrink dvd if you have it checked.

Can anyone define/explain what it means?

Thank you for your time.

Subpicture or better known as subtitle, is the wording you see at the bottom of the TV screen used to aid those who are deaf (they can read what's being said in order to understand what going on with the movie). Subpictures can be displayed in many different languages, and can be turned on or off using the player's remote.

I have no use for them, so I uncheck them all, if you do this they will be unavailable during playback.
