Unable to backup Friends DvD's

I've been using DVD Decrypter and Shrink DVD to try and make backup copys of the Friends DVD's. The end product is that I can only watch the first episode on the disk then my DVD player stops. There is 4 episodes on each side of the disc and I have been trying to copy a full origional onto two DVD's.

I have made many coasters and am begining to think that the friends DVD's are uncopyable because of the fact that the DVD is made up of episodes.

After reading the link I think my problem is that I'm using Roxio to burn the DVD.Whether this makes a difference, I don't know. I used to have Nero 5 but found the user interface very confusing and difficult to use.

i have friends up to season 3 & shrink alone will not do a back up. i have to use DVD Decrypter then shrink for them to back up. i use Nero 6 & have no problems. i have not used Nero 5 but with Nero 6 i have to click "burn dvd video files" then add the files it is really quite easy. like i said i have no experience with v5 (i have used v4 & i know that v4 will only do cds not dvds)
make sure that v5 will burn dvds, if it does look to see if it has the option to "burn dvd video files" if you cannot find it there is a Nero forum here on afterdawn & i am sure you will find the soloution on there.

also, some programs will not do dvds with episodes (usually programs that just back up movie only without trailers & special features dvd x copy express)), but decrypter & shrink will do episode dvds no problem.

You might want to try going to www.slysoft.com and downloading AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. You should be able to backup any DVD out there. Good luck.
