Well it's a sony release but I think AnyDVD w/ CloneDVD should handle it. What error are you getting or what's happening? Have you tried dvdfab decrypter?
With CloneDVD I get a copy protection error. I just installed DVDFAB, and that seemed to work, but the chapters are glitched and the running time is not on queue. There are 28 chapters, last being the credits. But on the burned copy only 20 chapters are the actual film and the last 8 are bonus features. I skimmed through the film and everything seems to be all there. I just can't figure out why this is happening. Any suggestions that you have, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
last when i ripped a sony arccos dvd i tried on my laptop's dvd rom which is out of dated firmware even though i have AnyDVD and CloneDVD it doesn't work but when i tried on my up to dated dvd rw it works as charm.
maybe it's just ur dvd reading device that's out of date that's all i can think of now.
Quote:AnyDVD is active, but I still get a message that the DVD is protected.
Please update to the latest version of AnyDVD. Check if another driver is active, which may conflict with AnyDVD. Try activating the 'safe-mode'. AnyDVD then uses a compatibility mode. Software from Pinnacle and InterVideo may not work when AnyDVD uses the 'safe-mode'.
try alkohal's strategy of ripping sony arccos dvd's then
"Back to your question now. If that is the case, then it's safe to continue on with DVD Shrink and do your usual shrinking process. If you have DVDFAB Decrypter version 2.9.6.8 to rip THE CAVE, then it is likely that it took most of the craps/junks aka bad or fake cells, encrypted sectors already. Just load your VIDEO_TS folder into DVD Shrink and transcode/shrink it as usual, then burn at your desire burning engines.
However, if you're like me and want to have a "super clean/fresh" VIDEO_TS files of the movie (THE CAVE), then run it through VobBlanker version 2.1.0.0 and just click on PROCESS, you don't necessary need to BLANK out anything since it might confuse you. So once you've set your "input = your source of ripped VIDEO_TS file from DVDFAB Decrypter" and "output = create a NEW CAVE folder and a sub-folder VIDEO_TS <== this is your fresh/new VIDEO_TS folder that you're going to use it with DVD Shrink later on". Now just click on PROCESS and let VobBlanker do the job, once it's completed. Then just do your usual shrink process.
Just incase if you don't have VobBlanker version 2.1.0.0, here"
i can't find the actual forum but this is from one of his conversation
all I used was DVD Shrink 3.5 (beta) and CloneDVD.....nothing else the movie played just fine throughout the movie but there was a 3 minute part near the end that glitched up. Wasn't the disc or the palyer.....then I skipped 3 minutes ahead and it finished with no prob....any suggestions or any info on upcomming DVD copy protections?
@Breuer85
Don't know anything about a beta shrink 3.5. As far as I knew it was no longer being updated - last version is 3.2.
New stuff coming out - probably - Sony is always playing around.
