how's the performance of this bios?
I don't have a viper gc extreme to play with, but very curious as this is the chip I'll get if my yet to arrive xeno chip isn't satisfying enough.

So far so good...
+ fixes the hanging issue when attempting to save your configuration.
+ The backup over usb to (CobraBackup.EXE) iso/gcm works as advertised.
Unable to test the DOLSendUSB.EXE application because I cannot obtain any .dol files. I thought I could just rename the .iso/.gcm files to .dol and run the application but that doesn't work.
Does anyone have a way to convert a .iso or .gcm file into a .dol?

extract gcm image and send that main .dol there, thats the only way to send game as dol... but i dont think DOLSendUSB.EXE means that u send game throught, it means that u send ripper or any other useful dol there..
I have'nt been on gc-scene much anymore, so i might be wrong...

Is the bios compatible with the ViperGC chip ? Or is it just for the Viper Extreme. Thanks.

just took a look at the nfo that came with the bios file and they state that it's a merge of v1.2 along with usb support to accompany the extreme chip, due to crashing. with some bug fixes, so yes it would work with the normal viper chip.
v2 is still being worked on, hope this is gonna be released soon.

I was able to backup over usb and as the file was streaming to my PC the status bar on the GUI on my PC was increasing. Then it finished but the status bar stayed at max. I expected it to gray out when it was done. Also the GC screen changed to "DONE", but just sat there. I tried pressing A, B, Y and Z and nothing happened. I had to restart the GC. I was expecting to be able to go back the Cobra menu screen. Did I do something wrong? It is not a biggy but I did not want to shut the GC off after every backup.

BrewGod23 - I had the exact same issue. It must be a flaw with the software.
