That's a bad thing. I had 4 100-pack spindles of 8X Verbatims - 2 DVD-Rs and 2 DVD+Rs, some I bought from Buy.com and others from Newegg.com, but all with $10 or $25 rebates. I had terrible burns with PI errors above 500 and terrible skipping. I tested DVDs from 2 other Verbatim spindles with similar results, so I was sure my trusty Plextor 712A was near death. I bought a brand new Plextor 740, and had the same terrible results! No way could Verbatims be bad, right? So I tested some Verbatim DVD+Rs from another spindle, and lo and behold, practically no errors. So now I have 2 working burners and 3 Verbatim spindles of garbage. I suspect these must be the ones made by Prodisc or CMC despite the misleading MID code of MCC. My advice? Trust no one.

Hey guy went through that about a month ago. The bad ones I had had Dye spots and small dye smears that I seen under my magnifying light. I had it on DL's and 16x +r's MCC & MKM. Contact Verbatim they"ll take care of it. Happy Burnin, Chris
