When i start my pc, it runs normally till my monitor shows the Windows XP Pro Logo with the loading bar. Shortly after it shows and loads, it restarted! Then it says, a new hardware or software might have caused the problem. I tried all the options like "Safe Mode", "Last known good config" and "Start up normally" and it still keep restarting at the Win XP logo screen.

It happens after i reformatted my pc a couple of days ago and installed my usual softwares like, WinXp, OfficeXp, Motherboard & Graphic Card drivers. However, i installed a new software - Norton Antivirus 2005. It was working perfectly and there were no errors or intrusions of worms, spyware or watever sorts. Previously, i did not install the antivirus program n there is no such problems. I suspect it has something to do with program or computer after it did its scans.

There is another post previously, but i think that his case is different from mine. Hopefully someone can help me solve my problem. If u need anymore information regarding my problem feel free to reply. i m more than happy to tell u.

THX A LOT! SAVE ME...

SypherTek, easy on the language & just suggest to people not to use norton because of problems with it. what works for 1 person might not work for another.

You reformatted and reinstalled xp and you are getting viruses, spyware and pop ups already ? Norton is not bad, I have sort of shifted to F-SECURE . F-secure has both anti virus and spyware removal + a firewall. I also have spyware doctor and BPS. Strange just like the viruses and trojan removers, not one program removes all.

What norton is it,,,, the name of the product. Norton is ok to use, it does not remove as much spyware as some other programs.
the best way is to practice safe surfing.
