I'm dumb when it comes to this kinda thing, so be kind....lol....i was using dvd decrypter and dvd rink to rip and burn dvd's, didnt have a problem...then one day it didnt work and the last half a dozen times i have tried to rip and burn a dvd i have had no luck....it decrypts, analyses and encodes, but when it comes to burning, says there is an error.
Today i downloaded "cloneDVD2" and "anyDVD" and tried again...everything went OK, til the burning process again...immediately the disc was spat out saying there was a media error and to insert correct disc. I dont understand this as I have always used DVD-R and never had a problem, so why would it start being the problem now???
hi susie, if i may ask, what brand (kind) of DVD-R media are you currently using? is it 4x rated or 8x speed rated or 16x speed rated?
sounds like you have changed your media since before when things WERE going ok...and that a firmware update for your drive (burner) might be in order...
what model/type dvd burner do you have?
when you burn backups just fine in the past and you have not done/changed anything different, with the only exception being media used...THAT could be the culprit there, as SOME drives "like" some media better than others :)
if a firmware update don't help and once you let me know WHAT KIND of media you are using...i can assist you further...
but, in the meantime...you could try to completely uninstall the above programs and REINSTALL them again on your computer, this helps sometimes to resolve issues IF they are software related... :)

hi
it could be that the dvds are not very good quality, sometimes cheap disc will cause errors when burning, or it may be that you are burning too fast you could try a different brand of media or try burning a bit slower to see if this helps.
what make of disc are you using & what speed do you burn at?
kiv just beat me to it lol oh well i'll add my 2 cents worth :-)
OK...thank u so much for trying to help me, i appreciate it. Please keep in mind that these discs are the only discs i have ever used, i have never changed my media as these have aways worked until recently.
They are just a "post office supplies" brand.... 1x-16x speed recordable disc.
I have an acer extensa 2300 laptop and it says the multimedia is High Speed Drive: DVD/CD-RW Combo, DVD-Dual or DVD-Super Multi.
I hope this helps ome..oh and sorry, but i dont understand about the firmware.
