Ok, trivial question but important for a newbie. I recorded Lost last night on my Panasonic ES20. Want to watch it on my Sanyo player but it won't recognize the disc. I used a Maxwell DVD-RW. Do I have to finalize discs for them to be recognized in other players? Can you even finalize a -rw?

Thanks

Yes, you can finalize a -RW disc. It needs to be finalized for it to play on any machine other than the one that recorded it.

oops, meant to also ask- once the -rw discs are finalized, can they be recorded over?? I dont' want to keep the TV recordings forever, but would like to reuse the disc.

You can reuse the discs ... you need to erase them, reformat them (you had to do this to use them in the first place), then they're good to go

So I assume that once I finalize a -R disc it can not be used to record again. Correct???
