Try downloading the free trial versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 from Slysoft.com. A very fast, effective, and high quality way to tackle the newer encryptions out there. Just search the forum here for guides on how to use each. Couldn't be easier. I did Band Camp using these 2 proggies in under 17 minutes. Also remember to use quality media such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.

MS Windows XP MCE SP2, Intel P4 3.20 GHz, 2.0 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX5600, Seagate 7200 rpm 200GB HDD, Sony SDMHS93 19" LCD, Field Value
Audio Adapter Creative SB0317 Audigy LS Sound Card, Liteon models,SHM-165H6S, 167to6c, All burns exclusively on genuine Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media!

The problem is with encryption. The Shrink decryption software is out of date. Using AnyDVD will allow you to use Shrink as you have in the past. On occasion I find if useful to use hard drive files. In those instances I use DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD on. Decrypter isn't decrypting, it is just copying the files decrypted by AnyDVD to the hard drive. With a good decrypted source, most transcoder/encoder apps will do the job. You can read the product pages at slysoft to understand how AnyDVD works. You can download the 3 week trial and read about AnyDVD at http://www.slysoft.com/ . Since the CloneDVD 2 trial doesn't cost anything and you're already on the site, no reason not to try it for the trial period at least.

http://www.dvdshrink.info/ You'll find some interactive guides there that let you get started fast. You can open Shrink, select Help, Help Topics, Guides and use the links to more guides. The link supplied is one of those. DVD Shrink is obsolete on the decryption, but otherwise still handy. That's why AnyDVD is needed. AnyDVD just needs to be on with the red fox icon showing in the taskbar. If I knew where "there" was, I might have given you a clue. Shrink has 3 commands for opening you DVD files depending on whether you have a DVD in a drive or the files on HD in File or ISO folders. Good luck. Note that v3.2 of Shrink has options the older versions didn't, some of the guides may not have been updated, but they'll get you going. Quality Settings is the big difference to improve quality under compression on the larger movies.

I would like to thank you all for the help. I backed-up Band Camp and now when I get home I am going to try to do Hustle and Flow. Hopefully the same idea will work. But Thank you all for this site. To help dummies like me....LOL

De nada. Glad you're off and running. We all started somewhere, so there's nothing wrong with being a novice.
