Lately, everytime I copy a movie (w/DVDShrink) it plays back with subtitles or captioning and I can't get them off. Can anyone give advice to remedy this problem? Thnaks in advance to anyone who responds!

I remove any/all subtitles that I don't need when editing with DVD Shrink. Have you tried to turn off the subtitles with the remote for your stand alone player?

In DVD Shrink:
Choose Edit/preferences/stream selections. The check the box at bottom to disable all subpicture exept menues and forced streams. Can also pick sound preferences from this screen e.g. English and AC3 or LPCM.
