The trial period of 21 days commences from the date of download, whether you use it or not.

I agree, was hesitant about buying online, but it is an excellent product. But be sure to back up the activation key once you get it. Well worth the money!

It is legal to make copys of copy protected meterial that you Own (buy). (Fair use Act)

but

It is agaisnt the law to OWN or SELL programs that curcumvent copy protection on copyrighted meterial in the United Sates.

Its kinda like in some states it is legal to grow and have municipal marijuana but it is agaisnt federel law. So if a county or state cop pulls you over they cant do nothing about it. But if a federel agent does you can go to prison.

The great laws of the USA.

what the hell is up with these U.S. laws- they contradict each other.

1. It is illegal to own and distriubute copyprotection circumventing tools.

2. You have a right to backup your movies.

if i can't own the tools to backup, then how can i have my right?

Incase anyone is intrested below is the law on The Digital Millennium Copyright Act that congress signed into law on October 28, 1998

This is the reason why 321 Studios is in litigation in the USA. Cause of the circumvetion part of thier program.

Below is Bills that are currently trying to pass through congress to restore or rights under the "Fair Use Act"

If it isn't legal to buy and own, will that stop you from getting it?
I think that's more important...

You can buy it... But if you get caught using it, you're in trouble.

Well, again, that's not the question...the question is:

is it legal to purchase and own.
Does it really matter? Because, honestly, how many people in this forum, and god knows how many others, have it?

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Here is your answer and I hope it helps.

If it is agaisnt the law for compines to sell copyprotection circumventing tools in the US. Then im sure the law applies to people buying it in the US. LOL
