Will swap magic discs ruin the PS2 lens reader?

If I keep using Swap Magic (DVD to be precise) will it shorten the life capacity or have a negative effect on my PS2's disc reader in any way?

So the SM will not have any effect on the PS2 at all?? not even if you use the slide card...that looks like it can be a lil hard on the tray lol

swap magic wont do anything at all.

75. Q. I heard you could damage your PS2 if use a slide card, is this true?
A. Yes and no. If you use the slide card properly, no. There is no long term harm to your PS2. If you use it improperly and try to jam the slide card in your PS2 before the front cover is removed, or try to jam it in the slide station in a frenzied search for the white tab that pops out the disc tray, then yes. This can damage the eject motor, rendering it inoperable. So be careful.

what I was getting at is that I am not sure about all discs but behind my swap magic disc it doesnt have a clear colour like behind normal DVD discs. instead there appears to be some 'lines' almost as if they are 'scanlines'

well I know its no 'ordinary' disc cause it servers as a boot disc, and my PS2 makes a bit of noise when booting up Swap Magic (but thats too be expected right? considering what it does)

And in my case I'm using it to play import games. But I was just curious if it strains the PS2 lens reader?? (considering what Ive just wrote... the noises, lines @ the back of the disc, etc)

if you burn games with good media then the lens will be fine.

Q: WILL THE SWAP MAGIC DISCS EFFECT MY PS2 LENS READER IN ANY (NEGATIVE) WAY? FORGET WHAT 'MEDIA' I USE AFTERWARDS, I ALREADY SAID I PLAY IMPORTS!! IM NOW ASKING DIRECTLY FOR SWAP MAGIC USAGE!
