I NEED help. I'm so frustrated.. I've been trying to copy the movies "The Fog" and "Half Light". The Decrypt just keeps running with read errors. I can't get past 1%. I've used the DVD 4Free with 1 Click DVD and also tried DVD Decrypt with Shrink. The Shrink says "Invalid DVD Navigator. and with the DVD4Free and 1 Click DVD reads 98% in about a second then tries to write to the media. I don't know what else to do. I just hate to let this get the best of me, but it has. Can anyone help. Thanks klk

@klk
Easiest way - download AnyDVD and CloneDVD - works like a charm. Has a 21 day free trial but also well worth the $. Try it!

Or check out this great guide from alkohol:

Binkie7's right. Spend the money. Well worth it. Type in afterdawn in the coupon area and you might get it cheaper? Don't know if the rebate is still on

After reading all the info about AnyDVD i decided just to go ahead and buy it. Now the problem is I can't get it opened to see if it works or not. I uninstalled DVD43 so not to compete.. I got the license to unlock the two but when I downloaded it says it can't find the program to open it. Microsoft sugests some site, but now I'm totally lost.. I emailed the support but haven't received any response yet....Untill I hear does anybody have any suggestion???
This is the best place to find info, I love it. Thanks everybody... KLK

@klk You did download the programs from slysoft also? Download the 21 day trial versions of whatever you purchased. These are the actual programs that you use. Then you just open your key and the software is supposed to unlock the program.

When you bought the products, slysoft assumes you tried the trial versions before you paid for them. So when you get the key that opens the software all you get is the key(the software is already installed for free 21 days). Since you say you just went ahead and bought it after reading about it, you still have to download the software trial version itself and then open the key software. I hope that clarifies it a little better. If you did download the trial versions I have no idea what went wrong.

@klk If you have AnyDVD configured correctly, the red fox head should be in the lower right corner next to the clock.Did you go to this link to download the trial version? http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html Delete what you downloaded before and start over. DO NOT delete your little key you got when you paid for it. They won't give you another. Burn it to a disc and a back up HD. Download the proram from the above link and install. Don't use the key. If you can configure it after install do so. See if it works. It just sits on your HD and waits for the encrypted movie. Watch the fox turn pale as the DVD is inserted and read. When turns red again encryption has been removed. After it is working then click on your key and the time constraint is removed. If this doesn't work then I am at a loss.

Thanks for the info. I didn't download from the site so it wouldn't work but I tried the Half light and it worked fine. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing yet but it worked. I then just went to clonedvd2 and finished. I'm not sure what you mean by the "key" I'm assuming your talking about the registry key?????
Thanks again for your help......klk

klk sounds like they both worked just fine. I don't think you could have done the Half Light w/o AnyDVD stripping out encryption files. Key is the registration key. Just keep at it and you will learn volumes in no time. Glad I could help. If you're not sure of yourself, at first, use DVDRWs and you won't make coasters. Don't use cheap media. Verbatims, Taiyo Yudes, OffDep 8X,16X are good. Someone's always posting where the media is on sale here at AD.

garmoon...I was using the DVD43 and 1 clickdvd and it would not do the Half light or the Fog. After reading all the comments about AnyDVD I decided to try it. And it worked. Much faster too. I sure appreciate all the help and advise everyone has. This forum is the best by far. Thanks again....klk

Did you download CloneDVD also? AnyDVD works best on these 'tougher' movies with CloneDVD.
Here's also a great guide by alkohol to do the fog:

@skitzy If you have backed up your movie why would you want to keep them on your HDD permanently? You can always rerip them as you need the files on HDD. Seems like a "wasted bunch of gigs".There's a song title in there somewhere? LMAO

I saw "Fog" was not impressed. Will watch "half life" today. I must have had trouble too with HL since I used Decrypter(AnyDVD) and NeroRecode. Recode must not have been able to do it with AnyDVD.

This is what i do i dont use ANydvd anymore used to.
I rip in dvd decrypter in iso mode, almost any dvd will rip in ISO mode. Then use a vcdrom tool or Daemon tools to load that ISO.
Bingo Bypassed region protection, then you just cloneddvd or dvdshrink it

When ripping the movie ISO select "read" mode
Now you have you ISO 2 things could happen.

If your Iso ends up being greater then the normal DVD eg 7gb then youll need to use Clonedvd or dvd shrink, i use clonedvd it also burns it for you, i dont know about shrink.

If your ISO is able to fit on a normal DVD eg 4.35gb or whatever then you can just go to "write" mode in decrypter without any shrinking.
