if this is for music you can just convert the music. get the software called dbpower amp music converter at download.com. or what you can do is get sonicstage for connect and convert it that way.

***cd's have wma saved format. if you rip the music go to settings and change the convert type to mp3. mp3 is the only things it will play***

I could do with the same. I have thousands of files ripped from cd as wma format and I really don't want to have to mess about changing them all to mp3's. Im on 2.60 but at the moment I don't have an access point either so no online......

We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent...

hey if you are still haveing the problem this is what you do.

go get a wireless router, and hook it up yad-da yad-da. then when it is connected and working, go to settings and select enable wma.

it has been a while since this has come up i just hope that it helps you. Now if you don't have the option then it might be your firmware. i have a 2.6 and it has the option, not sure on anything lower.

2.6 firmware can play WMA files
Music data in WMA (Windows Media® Audio) format can now be played under [Music]. (This applies to music saved on Memory Stick Duo? media.)
From Playstation.
PS: you must enable WMA playback in system settings
