Want to play 2.00 umd games and onwards on a 1.5?

google for UMD run v1.0. This forces games 2.00 firmware plus to play on a 1.5
I've tried prince of persia and it works (it's a 2.5 game)
Could somebody confirm that gta works with it?

Are you sure that prince of persia only run on v2.50? As I know GTA and Socom will not run on v1.50 and v1.00 no matter how you trick your PSP.

Well I have a 1.5 and when I put prince of persia (uk version) it states that it cannot be play played because I need to udate my firmware to 2.5. I used UMD run v1.0 and it forced it to play perfect.
I just want to know by somebody who will try it with gta please. Is that too much to ask?

I've got prince of persia to work with umd emulator. To my knowledge, any version changer should work fine.

i have a version 1.5 psp and prince of persia works u dont need 2.50
just run it off umd emulator

You dont understand I'm talking about 2.0 onwards UMD discs to play on a 1.5 psp.

I can tell you the answer is NO. However you can try pspset. gover2087 said it works.

Hmm Im going to try this with pursuit force cause that needs 2.5.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present. |

i havent tried because i didnt find a legit usa one of those programs, and the one i did get i couldnt figure how to install it? did p-force work?

PURSUIT FORCE WORKS IN A VERSION 1.5 AND WITH THE FASTLOADER 0.8C...PRINCE OF PERSIA WORKS FINE WITH THE SAME LOADER....SOCCOM AND GTA DONT...DONT ASK ME WHY.....ITS JUST LIKE THAT...IF U WANT TO PLAY GTA SO BAD DO IT LIKE ME AND GO TO EB GAMES OR WHATEVER AND BUY ONE U CAN ALWAYS DOWNGRADE YO PSP AGAIN ....

I'm sorry, but you did not read my orginal thread. I will make it clear. "... If I buy GTA which wont run on a 1.5 firmwared psp (I'm talking about buying the UMD Disc not talking about ISOs) Can I use UMD Run v1.0 to make it run on my psp? I'm talking about buying this game from the shops and using this program to force it to run on my psp. Prince of Persia is a 2.5 firmwared --UMD-- which run on my 1.5 firmwared psp when I use this program. Understand now?

Please someone answer Freevil's orginal post.
I have Pro Evoloution 5 (UMD)and a UMD film called Sky Blue, these both work of Version 2.00 and above. Just to mention at the moment I have 3 PSP's. 1 with 1.5, another with 2.00 and finally 1 with 2.01 firmware.
My UMD's do not work on the 1.5ver PSP.
About my 1.5. I have installed Fastloader V0.5 which is ok, UMD Emulator V0.8C which is great for most of my ISO's (Not WE9, The Con, and GTA and some others)
I also have NO UPDATE UMD STARTER which doesn't work just says "The game could not be started. (80020001)"
WAB Version Changer v2.5 which fools the system information, but doesn't load my UMD's.
Last of all I have New UMD Dumper v0.2 which does dump a file on to my memory stick, but since I only have Pro Evo 5 as my only UMD game, I can't get the ISO I made to work.
So basically I would like if someone could answer the orginal question, but here my my questions as well.
How do I get an Orginal UMD disk eg Pro Evo 5 (which requires 2.00+) to work on my 1.5 system?
Do I need to upgrade to 2.0 for it to work? and how do I upgrade only to 2.0? not anything higher. I've tried to upgrade from the GAME menu doesn't work just has a O and a X on the screen. I'm scared to press Network Update from main menu.
3rd question What's the best software for backing up my UMD's?
PLEASE HELP with one or more of these questions.
As I have 3 psp's just tell me what to do with which one? eg 1.5, 2.00 & 2.01.

do u got your demo umd thats came with your psp? if u do upgrade it from there..or if u buy GTA u can update from the GTA to version 2.0...

make sure you dont upgrade it higher than 2.0 because there is no way to downgrade anything higher than 2.0

If you have the umd emulator o.8vc or whatever the new one is just make sure there are no iso files in your iso folder and voila. the umd in your psp that can't be played w/out an update can now be played as long as you select direct load in the umd emulator settings menu.

Ok thanks for the upgrading information, I don't have a demo disc or GTA but I will try and get hold of one.
So am I correct in saying everytime I downgrade/upgrade I need to carry my charger? and have no iso's in my iso folder?
Shame none of these version changers, and NO Updaters seem to actually work, if anyone knows of one which lets people palay ver 2.00 UMD's on a 1.5, please let us all know.
