Hi All, me again with more issues.

Aagin I'm new to anything computer orientated. I've gone into advanced speaker set up and it asks to select the speaker set up which is like your computer set up. I've changed it to 7.1 home theatre as thats what I have and it sounds exactly the same as if I had it set to laptop, desktop speakers etc. My cable goe's from the headphone jack into aux on the theatre. Why doe's it have this option if it doesn't sound any different?

Thanks all

One reason could be that whatever youre listening to to hear the sound difference is not recorded in 7.1. Stereo MP3 file will sound the same on your 7.1 system, whether or not the option is activated.
