What about Office Depot and Best Buy? LOL
30 cent HP/28 cent TDK cmags or 30 cent Mitsubishi?
How about this last sale at Office max on the khypermedia? The associate there told me they were sold out and I said thank god!
I found Ritek Ridata's on sale at newegg.com- weekend only special.
100 pack spindle of +16x for $36,then you get free 3 day shipping and a $10 rebate for a total of $26. I am half tempted on that, seeing as how I was planning on buying 300 verbs tomorrow at Office Max.
Decisions/Decisions?

I've burned several hundred of them in the plus format: Mcc-002. This is one of the few brand named media still being produced for the 4x speed rate.
My benq 1620 definitely hates those in the dash format.
Edit: They look purtier than most other blank dvds, LOL
Excellent media. The only thing I can complain about the plus verbs is I can't find the regular +8x's anymore. Majority of sales are on the 16x speed and I've only burned a couple hundred of them with 1 coaster. That is way below par for my benqs. 1 in 500 I can tolerate.
Mcc-002-4x/Mcc-003-8x/Mcc-004-16x is all very good quality media!

Even though they aren't, the Digital Movie discs feel thicker than the silver tops ... My only complaint about them is that the space for writing on the disc is severly limited
The 4x works great with the set top recorders ... plus my BenQ DW1640 will easily write them at 8x and if I get crazy, 12x

Quote: write them at 8x and if I get crazy, 12x
im all bout getting "crazy" LOL
too bad i don't have any 4x rated media in the DVD+R format...i got plenty of 8x YUDEN000T02s that i burn @ "crazy speeds" just to test out for fun~ :)
while i consistently keep my burns on TY media @8x, i do crank it up sometimes when i'm bored...just for the heck of it~
docTY~
have a good one all~
Recommended Media:
Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

Anyone tried their luck at Sony TY's from CompUSA? It's an hour round trip for me so I need a little encouraging word before I chance it. Not one of my favorite stores to begin with.

So those digital movie disc from Verbatim are just regular DVDs then? And what do you mean by limited writing space? Under 4 gigs?

Mine says "special price" and $14.99. Sometimes different parts of the country or even a county can get different prices and offers. The Sacramento Bee gets like 5 different Best Buy ads to distriute and when I compared them all, the only thing different was a DSL ad.

A:: Sony discs are very good, with the MIJ being just a tick better
Here in Central Indiana, the 16x Verbatim 50 packs are $13.99
For you Fuji/Yuden lovers out there, KMart has 'em 50 for $19 .. not the best price, but from what I saw, they're almost all MIJ

I just burned a spindle of 50 of those japanese sonyD21 and they seem to be pretty good. I haven't had time to scan them, but 8x was no problem. I didn't even know they were D21 until I went look at their batch number on the inner dye and there wasn't any TGxxxxxx code on them.
I have no Idea how I got them. It had to be at staples on their sony weekly sales 2 sales ago. I always look for the japanese sony.I never noticed the 16x speed they had out in identical packaging. I bought 250 of them in the last sale the other week and started burning them-all 1x-8x yuden000-t02.
I'd keep them. Even though they are not Yuden000-T02,should still be very good media.

I don't remember a week of sales like this. I'm gonna go to Compusa and pick up a couple 50 packs of Sony DVD+R and then drive over to Office Max and buy as many Verbatim DVD+R DL 10 packs as I can afford.
