tonight i just put my backup DVDs with memosux labels to the test and spiderman didn't skip a frame.

i really think how well the labels work or don't, depends on the quality of your dvd player. If u have got an x-box stype heater/dvd player 2 in one, then the disc will skip like a mofo, but a thin new dvd player heats up less with better ventaltion and that will solve to label issue.

I have a slim JVC dvd player.

In my experience, yes and no,


my Pioneer still plays the labeled dvd's I backed up over 2 year ago but every other player I've tried them in don't.

Its definitely not worth the hassle or embarrassment of those not playing in most other dvd players.

Labels also become increasingly unplayable, the discs I put labels on, played in all of my players when first done......

(only one now) .......and all my dvd players are slimline and cool running, except my xbox 360 which I don't use to play dvd (back ups).

Printables on the other hand don't have the glue layer and won't become unbalanced thru time.

Why put the extra stress on the player? So its printables all the way for me.


PS... how long ago did you burn those discs? (some of mine lasted more than a year playing well in my players.
