I softmodded my xbox about 2 weeks ago, and tried to FTP it about a week ago. I've been waiting for someone to get on AIM to help me, but he's never on. So I haven't attemted anything yet. Today I wanted to just play a game(not on live)and I get a message that says XBL wants to do an update(I can't get out of the message). It does the same thing if I open my tray or even just start the xbox with the game in it. I now want to delete the softmod so I can just get on live. So please someone help me get around this stupid XBL update thingy.(I have my XBL cord unpluged now, and have had it unplugged since I started downloading softmods to the xbox) Can I just let it update or will that get me banned?
first of all,to be able to play on live, you would need this update wether you like it or not,then obviously if you sign into live with mods activated(softmods can't be "switched off ")you WILL get banned,so just put everything back to normal like your dash and then delete the mod from your gamesaves section.
just put everything back to normal FIRST then sing onto live and do the update.
don't boot to a modded state to play on live, if you aren't, then just boot to your softmod setup screen, aka with you game exploit, and turn the softmod off and then update. This also goes for adding a new account, however if you update you msdash, your modded dash may not boot, if I were you i would look into ndure 2.1 softmod if your problem persist
I can't even load a game anymore. I've tried letting it update, but it wont. I'm thinking about just just haveing to get rid of it because if my ms dashbaord was deleted I still can't load the slayer disk.
