What does it mean when an error says out of memory

It usually means it can't handle the copy protection. Turn off the preview and see if that helps. If not and it's a newer movie rip with dvd fab decrypter then open the files in shrink and process as usual.
fab decrypter is updated to handle the newer stuff and unfortunately shrink no longer is.

It might also mean, what it says' and your PC has insufficient RAM..(any less, than 512mb is gonna give yer problems)

So before you start, re-boot, turn off all programs, including the internet.

And try again....

Hi all! I have DVD fab decrypter and always get the 'out of memory' problem when compressing the movie with DVD Shrink 3.2. I open the file dvd then open the video ts file. When I do a ' deep analysis' test the movie runs all the way to the end with out any problem. However,when I attempt to shrink it I either get 'out of memory or cyclic redundancy check or some kind of error message.'This usually happens once I get to the 20-35%percent encoding stage. This happens with all the new sony discs as well as other new 2006 releases. What is going on? someone please help!

Are you using the latest dvdfab decrypter - 2.9.7? The past few updates have been to fix some of the problems running the files thru shrink.
How much ram do you have? Any multi tasking going on?
