Does any one out there know anything about the dual layer dvd discs? Can you record on them on just any dvd recorder? It would be helpful to know before I spend the money they want for just one disc. Please let me know.

well, that is a bit "general" question, BUT, if you have a burner CAPABLE of DL burning, then you CAN burn onto them...if you have an older burner that is NOT capable, then naturally, you can not.

I have an Emerson and Cyberhome recorders. Do you think dual layer will work in them. NO where in my hand boods are dual layers mentioned. I'm not burning on a computer.

actually, then NO...if your handbooks/manuals do NOT STATE that DL media is possible, then it is generally assumed that your home recorders will NOT be able to burn onto DL media~ :(

if you check the actual website (manufacturers) that produce those units with their proper model numbers, i'm sure you will get a definite answer as to whether they are capable of DL burns or not...my guess, if it doesn't say in the manuals included with both your products, then it probably does NOT burn onto DLs~ :)
