This the error message I get when I try to run Shrink or Dvd Decryptor on a DVD I have already ripped. Anyway, I'm trying to copy a copy. And the DVD doesn't play on my computer but plays fine on the stand-alone player. Original disks play and rip fine on the computer. Now I'm almost certain I've done this before with good results but has anyone come across this problem? For the record I have a Plextor burner

Usually results from using less than desirable DVD media for the original copy. Why not just re-copy the original?

The copies play on a stand alone, but not your computer? That's odd, I've never heard of that. Back up from the original, honestly. You'll spend more on coasters than you will on the rental fee.

My friends call me Spike.

Whatever happens, happens.

I am having the same problem with only some copies from Ridata+ 8x. Don't have original Titles. It usually gets to 99% or 100% then errors out. Disc is clean and free of scratches. Does not work even if I try using DVD Fab express 1st.

CRC errors on backing up a back up are normally caused by poor media and/or high burn speeds. RiData is good though I have had some problems with it. Use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.
Decrypter usually works best to rip these disc. You may need to tweak the settings some or rip in iso mode:
Here's a guide:

If that doesn't work try isobuster. You can download it here:

TDKs are generally not too good. And if you don't own the originals then it's illegal to copy or for that matter have a copy....

As bilbo65 said they generally not good - since they use several manufacturers - most bad ones -you never know what you'll get.
In store buy Verbatim or Sony or Fuji (last 2 look for made in japan)
I use 95%+ of the time Taiyo Yuden and I buy them here:
