Hi, I got a 2.6 PSP and i got the SNES emulator, I am currently playing super mario world on it and its running terribly slow, is there anyway that i could speed this up? I've already clocked the processor to 333 mhz, is there anything else?

Hey now.

where did u download super mario

PSP IS BETTER THAN THE DS

PSP £180
GTA:LCS £35
UMD movie £15
MEMORY STICK £70

There are some things the DS can't do for everything else there is a PSP.

Frame skip 2 or 3 and 333mhz seems to look fine to me.

As soon as more progress is made with the loader for 2.6V. You should try the TYL C newest SNES Emu. It is the fastest one released.

Just a quite random message, didn't think it warranted its own thread, but it's slightly on topic.

On the SNES roms that are fighting games, such as Killer Instinct or Street Fighter 2, some of the special moves, especially rolling moves (e.g fireballs or hurricane kicks) don't seem to work. On Killer Instinct I noticed a lot of Orchid's moves are missing, and on Super Street Fighter 2 its all the rollers, Ryu, Ken, Cammy etc.

Any idea why this is?

The moves are not missing. I know exactly what you mean. They are extremely hard to pull off. Its like for some reason the timing is off when trying to do the motion and the button pressing at the same time. I dont know why but all the fighting games are like that. The only one i did not want to pull my hair out about was MK. I can get the moves to work most of the time. Anyone have any idea why the moves are so hard to pull off for fighting games. I would love to be able to play SF3 on PSP and actually be able to play the game efficiently.

I also have trouble pulling off street fighter moves... especially hadoken and other fire ball moves. I think its cuz the d-pad either sucks or its pressure sensitive??? But when i switch the controls to analog instead of d-pad i can execute the moves pretty much every time since u can just rotate the analog disc.

CrisKahn2 - What emulator are you using to switch from d-pad to analog control? I am using SNES9xTYL v.02, and can't seem to find any option to switch controls.

zer0r_die - are there any specific settings you could give that work with the rolling moves, e.g what frame rate?

Thanks

Im using the same version as you. To change controls just go to redefine controls in the menu and then change it from there.

CrisKahn2 - yup just got it to work, i think my emulator was a little screwed as I couldn't find that option, so i reinstalled it and found it easy, and now the fireballs work like a charm. anyone have a link for v3 of this emulator? I googled for like an hour but got nothing.

I seem to be able to get the fireballs out easily enough, they usually work 1st time and I haven't messed with anything apart from the frame skip.

The sites i(and others) put up are mainly homebrew, and psp emulation sites, as such it is not pirated material.
