I know this movie is kind of old but i have recently found this movie genre to be incredibly funny and have copied many of them. I can't seem to get Van Wilder to copy with shrink, it always says data cyclic error. Im trying to decrypt first now, but if you could tell me how you did it that would be helpful.
Well the first thing you want to do is make sure your setting are correct in DVDD.
1)Go to tools -> Settings and set everything to default.
2)Under the General tab make sure to change "Removal Method:" to aggressive.
3)Under File Mode tab "tick" Remove IFO/PUO's
4)Under ISO Read Mode "tick" Remove IFO/PUO's
5)Under CSS "tick" Brute Force->I/O Key Exchange There is also an area that says "On Failure" choose YES
6)Under the I/O tab there is a box that says, "Ignore read errors" in the bottom right "tick" that box.
I got this information from Scuba Steve, however I can't remember the URL.
Now you should be able to decrypt without a problem. However, DVDD handles almost everything but you might try downloading DVDFab Decrypter. It is free. But in the mean time I hope this works for you. After it is decrypted Shrink should work without a problem.
"ARccOS? is the first and only available digital and dynamic DVD-Video copy control which effectively prevents unauthorized DVD copying on PC. ?Our customers are pleased to finally have found a copy control solution for DVD-Video that protects their content successfully."
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the help, and to answer your question the disc is not scratched beyond help, ive seen worse that has worked. When i try to decrypt it gets stuck at 92% ill try to work on it and get back to ya'll.
If DVDD doesn't work then try DVDFAB, those are the best for problemed DVDs. And exchange it for a new one if you can. It might be a bad press, if so you can't really do anything about it.
And edit you post, it's illegal to rent something and copy it.
Thanks for all ya'll help but what i ended up doing because it wouldnt copy was decrypting in file mode and selecting the main movie and it worked. I guess i can do without the special features and menus, but this movie was definently up there in the hard to copy section.
