Hi guys, i have searched the whole PSP forum and i have followed some of their instructions in

setting up the PSP under infrastructure mode and still could not get my PSP connected to the

internet.

My Setups:
1. PSP v1.5 (Bought in Australia)
2. D-Link ADSL Wireless Router (Model: DSL-G604T)
3. Yes i have ADSL internet connection at home...

What i did:
1. Select Infrastructure
2. Create a new connection
3. Scan my wireless network using SSID - it found the connection
4. Select the connection
5. Enter WEP Key (Same as the one i use with my laptop to connect wirelessly)
6. Select Custom for address setting
7. Select Automatic for IP Address
8. Select Manual for DNS
9. Entered 67.171.70.72 in Primary DNS and left Secondary DNS blank
10.Select "DO NOt USE" in PRoxy Setting
11.Save Connection
12.Test Connection
13.Result=Fail (some weird errors)

So what am i doing wrong? would it be my ADSL Router? cuz it is 802.11g and i turned off .11g only mode as well (as i read somewhere PSP only supports 802.11b)

If i run wipeout and go to download and select the connection (created in above), the error will say something along the line like cannot connect to access point.

It would be much appreciated if anyone in this forum can help me with it.

Thanks,
Steverino

Turn your 11G back on your router cos i have same router and i did not touch it. I set my Ip manually and my DNS manually
Do you know how to set up Ips?
If your routers Ip is 192.168.1.100
Then PSP would be 192.168.1.(try a number 1-10)
Subnet stays 255.255.255.0
Delfault router is your router ip thus 192.168.1.100
Prim and 2nd DNS can be found in your Router or by Ip config using a comp.
Have you tried the fire up browser its much better

Thanks PieceFull, somehow my ADSL Router IP address is 10.1.1.1, i dont knwo why, but its just is. If i have to change any settings in my ADSL Router, i'll have to type 10.1.1.1 in the URL to access it.

By the way, with the Prim DNS, do i use the same as my ISP gave me? Cause my ISP told me their DNS (Prim and Sec). Should i be using that DNS instead of the ones i got from this forum???

And no, i have not tried the Fired Up browser, i will be when i get my psp connection working first.

Thanks for all the help,

Those DNS you were given are for psp portals
Firstly u need to get you connection up and runnin.
If you know how to get into your router, you can find the routers primary and 2nd DNS there, use those ones first. If your router ip is
10.1.1.1 then try set ur psp to 10.1.1.2
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
default gateway 10.1.1.1
and the prim and 2nd DNS in your router. If that dont work i suggest you try disabling you WEP security for abit.

Hi GR13, here's what i did to make it work:

For my ADSL Wireless Router:
1. Set the key to Open System (instead of Shared Key) under the Authentication (btw, this is for D-Link ADSL Wireless Router, you'll have to check your user manual for your Linksys Wireless G)
2. Reboot the router

For PSP:
1. Since i already created a connection, all i did was edit the same connection.
2. Scan for SSID, selected it
3. Enter the WEP key
4. Select CUSTOM
5. Select Automatic for IP Address
6. Select Manual for DNS
7. Enter Prim and Sec DNS (Same DNS as my ADSL Connection)
8. Select "Do not use" in proxy
9. Save
10. Test
11. It works...

I used Fired Up, and its really great.

Cheers,
Steverino

I think there are some problems with Linksys and 1.5 firmware, But doesnt mean you have it, you may have it try everything else first. Try no security keys, and automatic Ip, and check inside your router that you have right setup
If it still dont work try this.
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/10
It is a customized firmware for Linksys routers
maybe it will work for you read up first b4 trying it.
To use it youll need a Firmware Launcher which is readily available on that same site. Launch that firmware and give it a try.

Good Luck
