Hey everybody long time since I posted and this is the only place I like to go to with my troubles. Well I used dvd decrypter and it was successful and when I went to Nero to burn the Dvd the blank dvd was to small. I wanted to use Dvd shrink to make it smaller by taking out what I don't need but I get an error saying "this program has performed an illigal operation and will shut down" (Dvd shrink.
So what I'm wondering, is this problem happening with Dvd shrink to anybody else? and is thier another program I can use to cut out unwanted extras? Dvd decryptor does copy the dvd and the extras right? sorry for all the questions everybody thanks a bunch.
Laters any help would be great.

I don't think so I am getting that message when I try to Open shrink from my desktop. I already have the movie on my harddrive when I double click DVD Shrink it won't open at all. I don't even get a chance to try it out. any clues to what it is? I already tried unistalling and reinstalling the program.
thanks

OK...I misread, if you are using Nero there is Recode which is given to us by the same fella that developed DVD Shrink and works almost identically. There is also CloneDVD, but it is a pay proggy, you can try it for 21 days for free. http://slysoft.com

Don't think its a copy protection issue. Recode will do it.

I've seen similar problems with other users, but since you've already unistalled it and reinstalled it, I don't really have any suggestions...someone else might. Recode is actually a little faster than DVD Shrink anyway...it's all I've been using lately.

It is a part of the Nero suite, you should be able to access it through smartstart.

If you have nero ultra you'll have nero recode. Nero recode works just like shrink (same writer), you can do just about anything you want with a movie, you can shrink it to fit an a DVD+/-R disk or you can reauthor it to remove any extra stuff you don't want.
Here is a manual on using it, just choose your language...

If you only have an OEM version and not a full version, I'm afraid an update won't do it...you'll have to fork over some cash.

Sounds like you got a OEM version of nero. An update will not enable this function, just give you an updated version of what you already have. The serial number you've got is what tells the software to either enable or disable certain nero functions/application, what you can do is either upgrade to an ultra version or purchase a addon/plugin like nero digital.
You'll be given a serial# that you will have to enter (in the serial# entry section of the software), once entered the recode function will be enabled.
Here is a link to nero digital...

Start nero recode, choose remake a DVD, import the video files you've ripped to your HDD, select the audio and subtitles you want, click next, select a location and let her rip.
Here is a manual on using it, just choose your language...
