I don't know if I should get this or not? Since I read some threads about GQ that the discs were coded by Sony???

i would suggest NOT to...that one person that actually got the Sony coded GQ was extremely lucky...and i can ALMOST guarantee you that you WILL NOT get any "sony" coded media especially in the DVD+R DL format...reason being, SONY does NOT make their own media and this certainly pertains to the DL media as well~ :)

i would stay away, but, hey, it's YOUR money...if you DO decide to try them out, please let me know what the media ID coding is on those GQ DVD+R DLs... i didn't even know GQ had DL media out...haven't seen it around anywhere...

I totally agree Doc .. I can't imagine that the GQ DL discs are any good .. after all, we're due for some DL 'seconds' or 'thirds' to hit the market .. might as well be branded GQ

Someone needs to buy 'em, though .. I'm curious if they work .. or if they're round and have a hole in the middle

i did see this in a fry's ad... i was curious to know what they code out to.. i'm guessing cmc..

i would like to try out but i don't wanna risk it u know...i don't wanna waste anymore money on DL medias since i got the wrong media (Ritek Ridata) when i'm suppose to get Verbatim...yes i saw GQ DVD+R DL at Fry's but i'm also curious about the GQ DVD+R DL 2.4x code
