for the psp universal remote program(check out psp-hacks.com), im having some trouble getting it working, whenever i click on the file it goes to a black screen and says goodbye..and i get nowhere, does anyone else noe how to get this program working
sorry dont have 1.5 so i cant try it
got this from pspupdates
Quote:What it does
it lets you emulate every remote supported by lirc (www.lirc.org), they're nearly 1800 (all included in the release)
for the remotes not yet supported i suggest you to try to use the others remotes from the same manufacturer. there's a good probability that they would work
How do i make it work?
- extract the archive in the psp root
- launch the app
- press square and the remote list will appear
- select the manufacturer pressing x
- select the remote pressing x
- program will "reboot"
- press circle to make appear the commands list
- select the command and press x
to exit press triangle! home button makes the psp crash
What will it do:
in a near future it will have a leaning commands function, the gui will be improved now it's a little bit empty
raw lirc support
these files are already available but the app doesn't find any command
p.s Make sure you have the remotes folder in the ROOT directory
ya i am doing everything right but when i try to work my dishnet 301 remote nothing happens......is the WLAN switch suppose to be on?..........idk is it suppose to be close to the remote to work.......? Any advice..........thankx!
what do you mean by infrared, wuts the difference between the remotes? i got the program runnin and all, but when i tried it on my sony t.v. it doesnt work..hm..
it still isn't working for me..i would of expected one of my electronics to work but they dont so i think im doing something wrong....got the WLAN switch on.....Got the remote # thing right......go to command....press X....and nothing happens...anything wrong?????
OK, I've been playing with it and it's actually pretty neat. Here's how I was able to get it to work:
1: Put Remotes folder in memory stick root. Put the two UR folders in the psp\game directory (same as allways)
2: Lauch the program like any other homebrew.
3: When it comes up you get an orange box at the top of the screen, pressing Square will bring up the list of remotes on the left. Locate the manufacturer for the remote you want to use and select with X.
4: A txt file will be listed in the orange box at the top of the screen.
5: After you have a remote selected, press Circle to bring up the available "buttons" for your remote. Select your button (like volume up) with X.
6: Exit the app by pressing Triangle.
That's the basics. Here's a few additional notes:
When in the remote selection (the screen you get when pressing Square), pressing right or left will let you scroll through remotes faster.
When in the button selecting (after selecting a remote and pressing Circle), you can change the Frequency of the remote by pressing the R button
I haven't figured out if the L button or start or select. Overall a pretty cool program.
ye i noe how to do that, but thats not the problem, its the fact that it just doesnt work, i get to the controls and everything, the right remote setting and all, but it doesnt work
strange. I'm able to get it to work with my cable box and tv. I haven't found anything else to try it on, but for the TV I have to use a frequency of 56000.
