I just resently got a dvd recorder made by panasonic. I taped a few shows and then tried to rip them onto my computer. I tried to do it but then i failed. When i try to use the ripper it always says that it cant find the dvd. This is weird beacuse i can find the dvd in the explorer window and i am able to play the dvd in windvd. When i looked at it threw the explorer i noticed that it only had 3 files in one folder. a .ifo, a .vro and a .bup files all with the same name. I was wondering if anyone had gotten this same problem or if anyone knew what i could do to ripp the files either by using a ripper or if there was a dvd-playing software that let you capture as you watched or something like that. if you have any ideas please let me know i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Hello. I have this same problem - involving three different brand DVD "recorders", which I posted on another forum. So far, everyone is suggesting I copy the DVD in real time - which is not an option for me. If/when I come up with something that actually works, will pass along to you.

I copy alot of "dvd recorders made discs." Shrink in re-author create iso then burn with whatever you want. It's the dvd structure within recorders that is the issue
